Council Performance

Performance Results

The Council undertakes a range of performance reporting and the latest results can be accessed below:

The Council also reports progress on a range of Government led performance indicators and the latest results are contained within our Best Value Performance Plan (BVPP). This plan assesses performance over the previous year and sets targets for the next three years.

Our most recent BVPP was published in June 2008 containing actual out-turn for the 2007-08 financial year.  The next BVPP will be available here from 30 June 2009.

Best Value Performance Plan 2008-11

Internally the Council maintains performance through the Excelsis Performance Management system, with monthly targets set for each of the 48 teams across the Council.

In addition to performance indicators the Council is also required to undertake triennial satisfaction surveys where residents are asked for their views on the Council, the services provided and whether they have improved. The latest results can be found below:

Keeping you informed

The Council publishes regular Borough Updates in order to keep residents informed about issues and work in Maidstone.  Our services also provide other information as appropriate to keep residents informed including an Annual Report containing finance and performance information (see below).

In July 2008 we produced our Annual Report, this provides budget and performance information for the year ending 31 March 2008.

Please find below previous Annual Reports. The information contained within these reports is a result of consultation with residents.

As part of the process of setting our Council Tax for 2008-09 we also asked residents to engage in a 'Budget Simulator' exercise.  This allowed residents to set a Council Tax level within the context of wider budget considerations.  This information was then used in developing our budget for 2008-09.

This information is also available in alternative formats on request by calling 01622 602491 or emailing policyandperformance@maidstone.gov.uk.  From the left hand menu of this website you can also find links so that you can view website pages in different languages or, if you have a visual impairment, you can use 'browsealoud'.

Further budget information is listed below:
