Powergen's Green Plan Fund
This fund supports community renewable energy generation
projects in the community.
The scheme is open to community groups and not-for-profit
groups. Joint proposals (e.g. with local councils) will be
eligible, but the community group must take the lead.
Eligible forms of renewable energy include: solar energy (solar
water heating, photovoltaics); Onshore wind (small scale wind
turbines); Bio-fuels (biomass, landfill gas, sewage gas and energy
crop technologies - except where co-fired); Geothermal energy
(ground source heat pumps); Fuel cells and Small scale hydro.
Funding of up to £25,000 is available; it is unlikely that
projects costing less than £2,500 would be considered.
